Haven't noticed anything different with the update.

Interested to see a list of the bug fixes though.

Input lag in SMS.app still occurs when you return from sleep to a conversation...

haha, good luck on that one!! Apple admitting specific flaws with their Jesus phone??! No way!

I've applied the update too. I love reading the BGR comments after the various iPhone updates - everyone claiming the phone runs SO much faster and 3G reception improving... then a day or so later "oh no, it's back to normal old slow again"!

I'm really looking forward to the first major update (i.e. 2.1.0 etc). I've got no issues on the whole with my phone, but could be a little quicker when browsing contacts

A hassle, I know - this little 'toggler' is a great app to have: http://www.eidac.de/?p=50

It is a simple toggle on and off to disable the backup that Itunes runs, saves those terrible hours of delays when restoring, has been great so far for me... Enjoy Cool

a really easy way is as it is doing the backup in the top little window on itunes where the song timeline is it will say backup and there is a tiny x at the end just click it it stops the backup and moves to the sync.. who needs an application to turn it on and off. This way u have instant control from itunes without firing an app up.

I'm not positive, but I believe that cancelling the backup then invalidates any backup you might have had of your iPhone.

So it would be impossible to restore.

I always look in the Preference to check when the last successful backup was performed.

No, I almost always used to click the x to stop the backup and my older backups stayed as they were. However, I recently discovered the importance of backups when my iPhone stopped opening apps, forcing me to perform a reset. I tried to restore from a backup but I only had a backup from the old 2.0.0 firmware, so the backup was incompatible with my newer 2.0.1 firmware. So, basically, I lost all my stuff!
Morral: ALLOW BACKUPS REGULARLY!!!

Infact, backups seem to perform in under a minute now, whereas with the 2.0.0 firmware they took over 5 minutes.

im not sure what this 2.02 upgrade has done, or if it was a VFNZ problem,
but my phone is now using the internet, without a iphone data plan and without using unlockit.co.nz or any kind
of APN change (No Wireless Where i am, Disabled it to be sure)

The Usage meter on Cellular Data Network on the phone shows its used traffic for the first time

and its not to good, 3.1meg down and 733k up since this morning!

Update:

I had my phone on GPRS, i switched it to 3G, tried it again, internet no longer worked, then switched it back
to GPRS, and its still not working, so im not sure what is happening here
