Anyone else found the latest "carrier settings" update allows you to change your APN!

settings>general>network

Wonder what made VF change thier mind?

got same error msg, but it still installed anyway

would have been nicer if they had a list of APNs to choose

That's AWESOME! Hadn't noticed it until reading this. That makes life easier when you're out and about and just want to switch it on for a short while. +1 for Voda/Apple (though it should have been there in the first place, imo)

just put a fake APN into the settings for kicks and rebooted the phone (reset cell data connection) and I still get data ;)

Did you also put in a garbled username and password.

Mine does not connect with garbage in fields.

"Could not activate cellular data network: You are not subscribed to a cellular data service"

Did anyone confirm the process to stop it from connecting?

I have tried changing the apn, username and password but it still connects...

change it back to the original iphone apn? assuming you dont have a iphone data plan..

i tried it before and it didn't work but now i tried it again and it works now ..

must have typed it in wrong..
