+1 you're never going to get anything out of Vodafone for software issues on the iPhone.

Did the dropped calls happen much before the update to 2.1 was released by apple

Surely your gripe should be with Apple for selling a defective product?

If it was purchased from Vodafone, the warranty would be with them, like it is with all the other phones that they retail.

Johnr: yes much better since update to 2.1
Apparently one of the problems it fixes is dropped calls/crashes/reception difficulties.

Worth putting it out there anyways! :)

I keep hearing that updates will fix the dropped calls issue but mine never gets better.  I try to have 3G turned of as much as possible as the phone wont hold a call longer than 30 seconds or so on 3G. Have returned it to VF and got another iPhone and it does the same.  I have a N95 and it does the same.  I feel its a VF issue but they will never own up to it, they just keep saying 3G is very week on the Ponsonby area. So who knows hopefully one day 3G will work.  I have given up moaning about it and just have it switched off unless trying to surf the net but even then its fairly tempermental.
