Hi all,

Does anyone know how I can install a self signed certificate to enable SSL when syncing with a microsoft exchange server?

Try using Apple's iPhone Configuration Utility to create a profile, if I remember correctly you can specify certs under the Credentials tab

Email the SSL cert to a webmail account such as gmail. Access this account via safari on the iPhone. Open the attached certificate - the iPhone will ask if you want to install it so say yes. And that's it.

Couldn't believe how easy it was. Have set up a few on various SBS servers in this way and haven't had any issues whatsoever
