It means they have free docking stations to give with an iPhone purchased on a plan.

Or are you talking about a set date and trying to imply there's a relation with other products coming up?

To me, it means that if I purchase an iPhone, with an iPhone plan, before the end of 15/7/09, that I will get a FREE Apple Docking station.

If I recall correctly, they were giving away the docks last year with the iphone too. Can't remember if it was just before the launch of the new iphone though.

It so long to wait for a new toy damn it.
I just thought that would help confirm the date being around the 19th?

July 17 is a friday, Which would imply the Monday (20th) as a possible release date.( lets lines build up outside your store over the weekend/Sunday Nite etc) all very good from a buzz factor...

But as has been said here on many ocassions speculation is pointless, it will happen when it happens...

Hmmm you are right but people are saying the 9th when it looks as if it could be the 19th?

Why would they want to get rid of them? the new iPhone is the same specs as the current iPhone 3G IIRC

I got my iPhone 3G in January this year - Handset only.... got the same deal at the time.

Personally I don't think there's any link.

Usually things come out on Friday in NZ.
*XT launch
*Video games

That would be impossible, as we didn't have the iPhone before the iPhone 3G, so they can't have been giving out free iPhone docks with an imaginary phone can they?

Free docks as a christmas special. The special started before christmas, technically last year.

I think Kyanar is referring to the fact that Vodafone did not distribute the original iPhone, not that there wasn't one.
