Have you tried resetting the phone? Hold down the home button and lock button at the same time, keep holding them together until the phone switches off then back on again (takes several seconds).

Try resetting the network settings as well: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings

Yeah my ip4 has done what you describe about 2 times since I've had it (from launch )About twice.

Mine got full cellular reception with 3G data but 3G data just wouldn't work at all (wifi did though)
And the battery would drain fast! This lasted about an hour.

Never found a solution. Only happened twice so I kinda just dismissed it.

I have narrowed it down.Im on 2 degrees however where I live we do not have a 2degrees tower so its going off a Vodafone tower.Everyday I drive into the CBD for work which does have a 2 degrees tower and the problem always occurrs when it trys to switch from vodafone-2degrees and visversa.

Anyone got the same probelm

The issue might be caused by been on fringe 2D coverage but ok Vodafone coverage and the handset keeps jumping around the 2 networks

And the total loss of coverage coule be explained if the stronger Vodafone site isn't one that allows roaming.
