Tried to sync my iphone with my macbook and it went in to recovery mode. and now it's saying i need to do an iphone recover. I have sync'd previous times without any problems.. so as my restore is almost finished it stops and saying Itunes is unable to restore your iphone error (9) Has anyone had this problem before or know what to do? and is there anyway i'll be able to save my photos? i took a bunch while i was on holiday overseas so i wil be bumed if theyre all lost.

If its stuck in recovery mode, I think those photo's might be gone bro :( but have you called apple and see what they can do? They might do more if you give a sob story about them.

Apple: Error 9: This error occurs when the device unexpectedly drops off the USB bus and communication stops. This can occur if the device is manually disconnected during the restore process. This issue can be resolved by performing USB isolation troubleshooting, using a different USB dock-connector cable, trying another USB port, restoring on another computer, or by eliminating conflicts from third-party security software.
