Hello guys, I want to grab a new ipad 2 this week. Any idea where can find the cheapest new one in auckland or online? Any input appreciated. Cheers.

They seem to be the same price everywhere. JB HIfi sell them for a couple of dollars cheaper, but thats it. I think you maybe lucky to find any stores with them in stock, or at least the popular models.

All the same price my friend. Online and at the stores. As the other friend replied, you will be lucky no to way 4 weeks at least to get one these days.
I ordered mine online (Apple Store).

If you happen in going overseas, you could drop into the JR-duty free store in NZ airport and grab 1 of those duty free if they have them in stock. Save you 15% GST.

How about taking a bus to the airport?

But I'm worried about the warranty in the duty free store.

JR-Duty free is inside the gate so no, taking a bus there doesn't work, and also, they're often out of stock.

duty free is 99.99% of the time out of stock. you have to be lucky as they get 20 ipads every X weeks

Mum picked up a 3g 64gb ipad2 from duty free last week no issue. She could only get a white one though they had no black ones. Cost $1120 or around that figure, bought it on the way to oz used it over there then customs were going to charge her gst on her return but decided to let her off :p

Warranty shouldn't be an issue if you buy it at a nz located duty free store? Its still a nz device or am I wrong
