What are my chances of picking up a 16GB wifi Ipad 2 by Friday, keeping in mind I live in Southland??

Noel Leeming Invercargill are shown as a stockist but I will find out in the morning if they actually have any stock.

The Ipad store now ships within 24hrs but am i right in thinking they are still shipped from overseas so wouldn't be here until next week?

This is for my parents 40th wedding anniversary, us kids are all chipping in.

If anyone in Dunedin has been into Noel Leemings or JB Hifi lately and seen stock could they let me know too, thanks.

Surely Magnum Mac / Student IT / Harvey Norman in Dunedin would also be places to check for stock?
Or maybe order on-line from Apple?

Yeah I would normally order direct from Apple but previous threads on here suggest the stock is shipped from overseas so it would not be here by Friday.

They are currently listed on the Apple store as 'ships within 24hrs' but if they are coming from a warehouse in Aussie that doesn't really help.

The DSE store availability check says that they are in stock at the Queenstown store if that helps.

I ordered the iPad 2 for our competition from Apple online store on Tuesday and arrived here in Wellington on Thursday.

I ordered an ipad2 on Sunday midnight two weeks ago and received it in the BoP on the next Friday. It went from Shenzen on Monday via Auckland on Thursday then on to BoP by midday Friday. I'd say you are out of luck if you want one from apple direct this week.

I just had a look on the apple site. If I enter my post code it says delivery 18th-19th August. Might give them a call in the morning.

PB Tech have sharp prices and stock by the looks. They have a store in Dunedin. Whether they have stock in Dunedin of the one you want? Give them a call.

My Bad. There's no longer a store in Dunedin. They might be able to fastpost you one from the north island. But there could be some transport issues this week...

Yip, that is my thoughts on the matter also, with the current blizzard only gradually abating, there are serious issues with transport around the country, ( and especially to the lower south island).

In a regular week, what you ask would probably be possible, but it might be touch and go this week..

I got a MacBook Air a couple of weeks ago and it arrived in two days from Apple Online, shipped from Singapore...

EDIT: obviously before the polar blast hit...
