iPad2 is quite a useful tool for running presentations, and a darn sight easier to lug around than a laptop.

Paired with a VGA connector cable... should be the business. And the reason it's VGA and not HDMI? Because most projectors out there are 'vintage' grade ones that wouldn't know what an HDMI was....

SO... off I go looking... and can I find one ANYWHERE? NOPE.

DSE, MagnumMac, NoelLeeming, HarveryNorman.... nothing.

Did I miss something?

Online I can understand, but that takes 7 days to deliver.... not good when you have a more urgent need.

Thoughts anyone?

Buy the HDMI to 30pin and use a HDMI to VGA Adapter?

Im pretty sure HDMI to VGA cant be done passively, so you will need some sort of box to do the conversion, and that will likely require an external power supply. Do-able, just a pain c.f. a simple cable

Unusual none of them have stock. You should find that Übertec in Parnell have stock, well, they usually do, however closed today :(. http://ubertec.co.nz/main/product/27956.html

been in this morning. sorted - plenty of stock and fast service.

So got second power supply as well - $100 just like that.

Thanks for the mention - am typing this from store computer now.

My old mans computer only has hdmi on the graphics card and they supplied a VGA adapter for our older monitor. It just worked.
