Hi
First post so hopefully I give the detail needed that means someone might be able to help me out! Sorry if I write too much detail!

I have an iPhone 4 which I brought home with me from the US. It was locked to AT&T so I yesterday I jailbroke it and am using a Gevey Ultra to unlock untethered.  It is working well on Vodafone.

I have added my gmail account using Microsoft exchange and have synced my mail, contacts and calender. I have all the phone numbers in gmail with country code as I have been living overseas.

As a call comes into my iPhone the contact name shows up, however if I do not answer it, the missed call shows as an "unknown" in the call log.
eg: Contact - Bob home +64 4 555 6666 shows in Recents as:
04 555 6666
unknown

If I edit the contact and remove the country code (from +64 4 555 6666 to 04 555 6666), as a call comes into the iPhone it just shows the number (04 555 6666) but when I don't answer it, the missed call shows up in Recents as:
Bob
home

How can I get it so both the incoming call and the call log to show the contact name???

Hopefully someone knows exactly what I am doing wrong!

Thanks Smile

Hi - there have been a few occasions with different iOS versions where there were some caller ID problems and this may be a similar issue. There is a tweak available via Cydia named 'Caller ID Format Fix' that should take care of this issue.

Cheers,
Mike

Thanks clicknz!! I just searched caller ID format fix and there seems to only be two versions - one for iOS 3.x and one for 5.x. I am running 4.3. Should I search harder on cedia for one for 4.x??

Hi Joker97
Because the unlock only works on iOS below 4.3.4! I wish I could :)

A bit mote of a google search has sorted me out. If anyone else or there is having the same problem, here is the solution:
1. Your iPhone has to be jailbroken and to have Cydia installed.
2. Open Cydia and install iFile.
3. Close Cydia and open the installed iFile.
4. Navigate to: /System/Library/Frameworks/UIKit.framework/PhoneFormats
5. Click on the UIMobileCountryCodes.plist and open it with Text Viewer.
6. Click Edit on the top left corner.
7. Change the 202 to 001 just do it and dont care about ur country code do it 001
8. Change the gr to (your country 2 letter code e.g. nz for New Zealand)
9. Save and close iFile. Reboot your iPhone
