Geektastic:NikT: Worth the wait for the announcement. I want the 64GB grey 6 plus.
Anyone in the market for a Note 3?
Not any more…!
I do however wish you could write on the 6+ with a stylus and have OCR turn it to text.
My wife thinks the Plus too big for calls. However since I make 80%+ of mine using a Plantronics Legend headset it won't bother me and I'd appreciate the extra size and resolution.

StructureDr:Geektastic: I would agree they could have extended the screen up - the top bezel is very big with no obvious reason (although I am wont to assume there may well be a less obvious one underneath!).
For me it is a toss up between 6+ and Note 4.
Since I have an all Apple universe with iMac, IMac Mini, iPad Air and 2 iPhones in my IT department it kind of makes sense to stick with Apple for the phones as they work very well with all the rest and I doubt that a Note 4 would be so smoothly integrated.
If I was a PC user (*shuddering at awful memories...*!) then I may well go with the Note though.
Agree that the 'full ecosystem' gives a strong incentive - I know many people in that situation. That said, I run virtually the full gamut (Android phone, iPad, Linux home PC, Windows work PC, Synology and WD NASes) without issues. With more and more things linked through the cloud, the lock in seems to be getting less of an issue to me. For instance, neither my phone or iPad are ever connected to any PC.

Dingbatt: For the top and bottom bezels, at least they are symmetrical. In a device that thin components have to go somewhere, so having a huge forehead allows room for a camera sensor of decent depth, and to get radio antennas away from your hand. The press renders certainly make the form look nice. Be interesting how it looks and feels in hand. The move away from the squared edges of the 4-5S is, I believe, to soften the impact of the bigger size in both your handle and your pocket.
The round home button is the defining feature of iOS device design. Ditching it would be a bit like BMW ditching the double oval grill or McDonalds changing the golden arches.
SheriffNZ: Kind of wish I held onto my work issued Blackberry for a few more months so I could get one of these rather than getting the 5s through work back in June. Oh well, guess I have to deal with it for another couple of years. Moving on, does anyone have any thoughts about what the iPhone 7 will look like?

Dingbatt: iPhone 7 still 2 years away isn't it? 6S and 6S+ to come yet. Will be interesting to see if there is a SGS7 or if Samsung will be fully invested in Tizen. Just about guarantee Sammy will launch about 15 iterations of the smartwatch before the Apple Watch 2 comes out though :-)
What is the chance that Apple will offer a mid life update to sapphire glass on the 6/6+? Reports are the supply wasn't ready for the launch, but not too far off.
DjShadow: Saw a tweet from Dick Smith a few hours ago where they indicate they will have the new iPhone on launch day, so gives the impression people can buy out-right from day 1
