Just ordered three white ones, delivering between 12-19 July.

If you're planning to listen to music/tv on the Mini, you really need to get a pair. Should be fine with one if it's just a voice assistant or thread hub.

Looking at these, can someone tell me:

 

 

 

a.  Can you disable the mic?

 

 

 

b.  I assume for things like spotify, airplay is the only option, but will it work from a PC (currently I have a jbl that has chromecast and airplay, spotify on the pc can see it and uses spotify connect)

 

 

 

 

 

Yes to Spotify. No to microphone, but privacy is a feature on HomePod. Voice processing is only triggered if “hey Siri” heard.

You can disable the microphone - it does mean then to use Siri you need to physically press the screen on top of the unit and this then turns on the mic to hear your request.
