i just realized that without doing any real research or pondering for me it will come down to will i be able to do what i can on a 18promax on a duo? although i am quite happy with my 17pro max and a ipad mini, but then again i am a sucker for apple

The funny thing is if you sell both to get a Duo you'd still be short by almost $2k (assuming base spec on each)

Money aside, in what world does a plastic screen with a fold line in the middle better a fixed glass screen?

...  There is no way Samsung can continue pricing a $1900 USD device at just over $3000 NZD with out losing money.

Except if the device only costs US$900 to make.

Now, I have no idea how much it actually costs Samsung (or apple for that matter) to produce and ship a phone, but you can bet your left kidney they're not making a loss. Google tells me they made US$9billion in operating profit last financial year.

That comment was made by wellygary and not me.

In the world where you only have one device on you.

I’m not sure what point you are trying to make? Some people see the value in a folding device, some don’t.

Foldables are a rapidly growing category for a reason - there’s a lot of demand.

If it doesn’t work for you just buy something different.

I don't agree.

I like to sit upon my lofty perch and judge those who have more money/toys/property than I do.

It's one of my many joys in life.
