jeeg: All the reviews I've read suggests getting a case for the iPhone 6 Plus.

That makes me want to get one of the official leather cases from Apple, the problem is they do not take orders for the case until the day which the phone launches. That is going to leave me few days (to account for shipping) without a case for the phone.

Does anyone know if NZ retailers stocked the iPhone 5S/C cases on the launch day?

The Apple leather cases haven't fared well for wear, check on that

1GB in both. A reasonable amount is enough for the phone to multitask well and remain fast. Which initial reviews are saying it does.

Was looking forward to the new iPhone, its just a bit big I think, I liked Apples "One hand" approach and a phone that fits comfortably in th pocket. For me I think I'll have a look at the Sony Z3 Compact, looks very well specd and some how they got a 4.6 inch screen onto a phone almost the same size as the iPhone 5s. The IPhone 6 with a 4.7 inch screen looks huge by comparison. I think Sony may have stepped into, and taken ownership, of the "one handed phone" with this. The ability to add up to 128 Gb torage (i.e. 144 gb total) is really cool as well. Plus Stereo speakers on top of that. I think Apple have done a good job here, I just feel that Sony have really tried to cram as much as they can into a smaller sized phone and seem to have got it spot on. Plus I'll need a replacement for my iPod classic which is no longer being made, I'm now leaning towards the Sony Z3C.

Lifecase will have one out soon. I may get one of those.

This is an interesting question, and this is going to sound like Apple speak but...

The amount of ram, dual or quad core processor, how many gigaboobies it has is actually irrelevant, and Samsung can learn from this, it is all about the user experience.

I have used, albeit briefly the S4 and S5. I found them to both be slow to open apps, switch screens etc. This is with the fastest processors, most ram etc that they can pack into them, I go back to my 2 generations old iPhone and it feels seamless.

That is why I use iPhone, and will until I see an Android that gives me that feeling, or feels better to use than an iPhone.

*edit for spelling*

TwelveSouth who make the BookBook leather wallet iPhone cover - I'm hold off till that comes available before grabbing an iPhone 6 Plus - they make some pretty gorgeous cases with classic styling.

It will be interesting to see whether that is addressed when/if Samsung release an Android L upgrade for the S4.

joker97: Android L?

The next major version of Android: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wtLJPvx7-ys

ART = Android Run Time which provides AOT rather than JIT which is used today which should improve performance, memory and power/battery life. There are lots of other improvements as outlined in the video - it is quite a big upgrade for the Android ecosystem and HTC has promised to deliver Android L within 90 days of receiving the source code from Google for HTC One m7 and m8.

livisun: anyone camping out for this? I got my hemiplanet wedge ready!

Where are you? I am in Auckland and was just considering this.  Any idea which stores will have stock that is available to purchase on the day?
