Nice email from 2 degrees saying they'd improved their iPhone offer and would retrospectively apply to early adopters, so credit coming in next bill cycle for difference.

Good as wasn't particularly competitive first time around.

Placed an order with 2degrees and it instantly credit declined. I've no idea why as I pulled my credit files and all three of them are squeaky clean. I did have an issue with them a few months back where, during a system transition, they reactivated a dormant account and they had to credit it - I wonder if their system saw that those "payments" were "late" (not my fault). I contacted them with that old (new?) account number and asked if this was the reason it declined. They told me that they could not find that account in their system. Oh well, not going to bother with bad CS.

Instead, placed an order with Spark and it was sorted within about 15 minutes after a small hiccup with the biometrics. They seem to think it will be delivered within a few days. Easy!

I ordered a Pro max in silver on the 14th (from Spark). No actual comms so far, but from discussion with a staff member of pb tech the next significant shipment they are expecting isn’t until the end of October…

I asked Spark a couple of times after release date what to expect, initially 3-7 business days then 3-4 weeks- who knows I guess!

Does anyone have any recommendations for how to get a problem with One NZ and ordering a new iPhone 17 solved?

My experience ordering an IPhone 17 on the interest free deal - in store at One NZ

Ordered Sept 18th, paid a deposit, great helpful person in store - number ported and new plan activated fine with no problems

Was told one to three weeks for phone to be delivered

Got an order confirmation email that same day

Since then heard nothing and could not find any way to check the order status

Checked with one nz online (whats app) - was told that order number had been cancelled as it was a duplicate, but not to worry there was still an order in for my phone - didn't reply to my request to give me the order number

A few days later I sent an email - about a week after that I got a response say the order was cancelled due to being a duplicate and that was that, replied asking if there was a second order or what to do, no reponse (yet)

End of last week I went into the store, they told me they can't help, you have to talk to the online store - gave me a number

Called that number, was told that yes the order was cancelled, no there was no new order. When I asked what to do they said I could just create a new order if I wanted to ... when I asked about my deposit they said it should have been refunded, it hasn't been

Was passed to another person, had to explain the situation again, that person suggested I go back to the store and see if they could help, had to explain that the store had sent me away. Eventually I was told only the store can refund my deposit and there is no way to re-active my order nor to just re-use the deposit I had paid.

At this point not sure what I'll do, I've asked, seeing as they have my deposit ($499) whether they can't just sort it out for me and let me get on with my day but that answer at that point was no that's not possible.

I've probably forgotten some steps but pretty sure I've spoken to five different people, in the end on Friday I gave up as I couldn't afford the time any longer

... so yes, love to hear any tips for how to make the One NZ machine work well enough to sort this out

Ekk.. rough time mate.

Since I moved from consumer VF/One.NZ plans to business years ago, service has been top notch.

I even ordered an orange iPhone 17 Pro a few days ago - took two emails, one asking the account manager, and second one confirming the order, and me accepting when the next shipment is due as it is on backorder (next week BTW).

I then received an automated purchase receipt that night.

I am expecting a tracking number when it gets shipped late next week.

One.NZ is fantastic from a business relationship point of view.

Hi Folks,

I ordered the iPhone 17 Pro Max Silver 256GB on 22nd September from Noel Leeming and am still waiting to hear from them.

Has anyone received their Pro Max recently, even if they ordered after the pre-orders?

Cheers

I ordered a Pro max 256g in white from Spark on the 14th of last month, got a tracking link out of the blue on Wednesday and got the phone yesterday. Only funny thing is that I asked Spark how far away the order was on Monday and they had no idea lol

Reverse charge the $499 with the bank, giving them the details above.

Has anyone managed to get hold of an iPhone 17 in a store yet?

The wait time seems to always be about three weeks out on the Apple site and there's no retailers showing stock of a base model anywhere.

Is this manufactured shortage or is there legitimately a supply/other issue going on?

I’ve had the pro max for a week now, I ordered it in store with One NZ and it arrived 4 weeks later. I thought I was in for a very long wait with all the horror stories I heard about people not even getting theirs from launch.

Aaaand it's gone.

I am ideally after a black one, I may just have to bite the bullet and go though the Apple site at this rate.

Incredible to still have a lead time on outright handsets this far after launch.

I suggest going into a store and asking for a stock update. When I was buying my Orange 17 Pro Max I went to all the Telco stores about 6 weeks ago. I know Spark showed me an internal list of available phones instore that was very different (stock was available in different colours and capacities) to what was available to me directly online. Although the telcos won't sell it to you outright without a plan currently as stock for the 17 base and Pro does seem constrained so you might have to go to Apple directly or try somewhere like Harvey Norman etc.
