macuser: Looking to pick of these up for my girlfriend for christmas, as she leaves for asia for a couple months on boxing day - she's only taking her phone so want to make sure she has enough battery for all of her photos and any emergency communication. I'd hope to spend $100 or less incl shipping and would probably need to be compatible with charging overseas (do they just charge via USB chargers?)
Any ideas?

I can recommend the Bojak 10000mAh. It is very popular in the Ingress community as this is the game that drains your phone battery most. It still charges with screen, data and locations servcies on.
It got two USB ports with 2A and 1 A output plus a display showing the remaining power. And its a NZ company! (;
JBHiFi has them on offer regulary for $99 NZD.

Thanks for your recommendation. I think this unit will be too big for her as she's only taking one pack with a strict baggage allowance.
There are some Cooler Master units on Playtech with 5600mAh batteries I've been looking at, quite a bit smaller and I presume lighter.
