Satch: I'll be looking for two things if I am going to upgrade from my iPad Air this year.  Top of the list will be more RAM.  I am sick of apps crashing, and Safari tabs having to continually load due to my iPad running out of RAM when I have bugger all open.  Second would be the finger print sensor as iOS 8 will bring new uses for it.

Are you sure that the ram is a problem. I have about 20 tabs on safari open all the time on my ipad 2 and never had a problem with it crashing or laggy. Maybe having the retina screen uses a lot more ram.
