SheriffNZ: I had a thought on this, it'd be great to be able to leave the house without my wallet. Soon, we'll be able to pay via our phones, store loyalty cards will also probably be able to linked to an app on our phones. All that is great. What about our drivers licences though? At the moment, it looks like we'll still have to carry those, which will be a little bit annoying, just having to carry one card.

Guess it's better than 5 though...

Total aside but when I was back in the UK briefly in June I noticed my mother had 'mini' loyalty cards attached to her car keys.

They are essentially just the barcode or magnetic strip miniaturised with the shop logo so that you can pop in and since 9 times out of 10 you have your car keys, you'll have your loyalty card too.

Good idea I thought. Haven't seen it here yet: has anyone?

yes Muffin Break do them, unfortunately the bar code wore off rather quickly attached to my car keys. Would prefer I could just have a loyalty Bar or QR code I could have on my phone they scan, like Air NZ boarding pass

Yup. Wild Bean and others have them...they tend to break fairly easily and peel and fade, so become useless within months...
