dclegg: I saw the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus in Harvey Norman yesterday. They appeared to be available for outright purchase.

Oh yeah, where exactly? I was just on their website and it says "Pre-paid/Outright stock will be available at a later date." Plus it said they are Spark phones. Thanks for any info!

Doesn't matter. They're all unlocked and exactly the same.

Oh cool! Thanks

When I saw the estimated shipping was 3-4 weeks, I ordered my husband's Xmas prezzie direct from Apple last week.  Today I got the shipping notice: it arrives on Friday. Less than 2 weeks, in other words.

People snapped them up pretty quick... See what I did there... never mind :-(

I'm not a complete idiot, I still have some parts missing.

Spark store on Moorhouse Ave in Christchurch had the 6 plus available on Friday afternoon in all colours and storage sizes. Picked up a gold 64Gb for the wife. They had only been delivered that morning apparently.

On contract or are they selling them outright now?
