joker97: have you tried deleting the app? restoring the app could bring with it old data. ie have you wiped app data by uninstalling

The issue is system wide, presumably the OS gets the location info and distributes that to all apps. So Google maps, Apple maps, and even the camera geolocation is all affected the same. It even affects the MacBook pro, so the bogus information must be related to our wifi network, and some source of location info.

Stick Wireshark on the MBP and see where the location data is sourced from - most likely Apple.

Any luck with this? One assumes Apple have a time-to-live on the database. I'd expect the wrong geo data for your AP's MAC address will eventually expire and be refreshed.

I never could get it resolved, ended up solving with brute force - new router (because of other issues also)

My suggestion was to test with another router, in order to force iDevices to re-GPS you, did that work to the correct location? Did it name that new and correct location as the old location?
