So, they feel they get exposure and will get sales for iTunes and others, but if Apple Music disrupts the music industry who would ever buy a song again when they can play it anytime they wish? I can see theoretically, that music sales will end, it will be that everyone has free access (after paying one set monthly fee) for the worlds music, so for performers, forget royalties, and just do live gigs

tdgeek: Call me old fashioned but I can't see myself paying NZ$16 per month to listen to music, via wifi at home, or 4G data elsewhere when its on me phone. But as you say the Family one is great value. Marketing 101, make the lower cost one poor value as there is no free ad version, then make the more costly version great value per user, maximising revenue.

From what I understood from the keynote, you can sync songs/playlist offline much like you can with Spotify premium. You're right, if it was streaming only it wouldn't be great.

I think what will be interesting to see is how much buy in they get from Android phone owners
