Rang apple and lodged the missing consignment with them as i dont trust either tnt or nzcouriers to do their job proply.
Apple are investigating from their end and will have said it could be 7-10 days before they get back to me with what haooens from there.

I'd ring Apple up again and push them harder. Pretty unacceptable service all round by all concerned. Absolutely no surprise in the case of NZC and TNT, however.

Ill going to wait till the end of the week before I push them for more info on it.
What will be nteresting is to see what I'm owed legally.
I should be entitled to a replacement phone, but seeing as I paid a repair fee as well that never took place, I wonder if I'm entitled to a refund on that as well.

Righto an update.

Afte being told by apple for the last 2 weeks it had been referred to another department i finally got some resolution this week when it was referred to a soecialised in oze, who within 2 days had said it was to have a replacement unit sent out... This was yesterday.

Today, get an email from apple to say my item had arrived with them for repair, followed up by another email tonight saying a replacement unit was being sent and my card is geing charged for it.........
So is my lost phine bring replaced after it has been lost? Or has my phone actually magically appeared in oze after a month and they have repaired it? Or both?
The mickey mouse run around i have received from all 3 companies over this is a complete debacle.
Will keep an eye on my cc and see if i actually get charged for a repair, or if the emails i have received are their way of finalizing this issue even though the phone was lost.

And another uppdate.
After finally getting some resolution and receiving a replacement phone for the lost phone last week, I have now just been billed on my credit card for the repair.
So needless to say apple will be getting an earful as I never actually got the repair done, the phone was lost and it never happened.

I am completely puzzled by why you think you're unfairly treated re: being charged. Hey look, you're right that the lost phone/delays are unacceptable and you should probably receive some sort of goodwill gesture for that. But you are receiving a phone that is "fixed" in the sense that it doesn't have a broken screen and, like any Apple refurbished phones, have a new battery and is likely to be in tip-top condition. And this is likely better than what you would have received were your original phone repaired.

So what are you complaining about?

You understand that Apple don't fix your phone in any case right? You simply get sent a referb. So you have ended up with the exact same result you would have if shipping had gone smoothly.

To be fair, that's actually not always true. I detailed my experience on here re: my broken IP6 screen. In my case, Apple waived the $170-something NZD repair charge and actually just replaced the screen.

Apple do sometimes fix phones. My iPhone 6 plus had the blurry camera issue (before it was announced as an issue). They fixed the camera module, and sent it back.
It was not a refurb/replacement.

I agree with your sentiment.
