Hi Piksel
Can I clarrify a few things here before I go and completely stuff up my new iPhone? I have NOT unlocked, activated or jailbreaked it yet and want to get the process straight in my head.
The phone is relatively new and has the 1.1.4 out of the box firmware.
To keep the 4.6Bootloader(BL) using ziphone 2.5 I should:
- Jailbreak and activate only.
I then use ziphone 2.3 to UNLOCK the phone as this will ensure that the 4.6BL is not changed?
I know that ziphone 2.5 has the functionality Unlock, Jailbreak and activate only. Reading the postings above this seems not be a recomended option if I dont want to change the bootloader
What is Baseband and what should I keep this to? I am planning to use the phone on Vodafone NZ. I am not even sure how to
find out what the Baseband is at the moment??
All of this stuff is very confusing and as you mention if you dont do your homework then expect your phone to stuff up completely.

mailmarshall: Hey Piksel managed to activate, unlock and jailbreaked using iPlus2.0b. I just noticed that my firmware is now 1.1.3(4A93) an the Modem firware (Baseband I presume) is 04.04.05_G.
Firstly I am amazed that iPlus has downgraded the firmware to 1.1.3 (considering I was sure it was 1.1.4)
but what I would like to know is how can I check the bootloader version?
