Is GM the same as the final, as I haven’t been given the option to update to iOS 11 final after removing the beta profile and restarting.

If in Settings > General > About you see 11.0 (15A372) under Version then you are running the release version, aka the gold master that was released to beta testers last week and the general public today.

Dunnersfella:

I've had the issue for a week or so now... I have moved on from running the Beta to the full iOS 11 and still the problem persists.

Once you realise it hasn't sent you can easily re-send it, but still a bit of a pain.

Mine broke a few weeks back (ios11 beta 6 I think?) but only for sending (via exchange) receiving works fine but sending ALWAYS gets “rejected by server” ... I deleted the account and set it up from scratch and managed to get three ‘test emails out before it borked again, so was digging into the exchange server settings to find what might have happened. Couldn’t see anything wrong there so escalated it to the network GuRu, and then today linked him to the MS notice in the OP of this thread, and got an immediate replay as he was just then trying to solve the issue.

Thanks @gjm 👍

Thanks, that is the version. Great no need to update. Noticed a few bugs  on the ipad air 2, with screen rotation is not working properly going from landscape to portrait, so guessing that an update will be released soon.

Is there any confirmed resolution to this issue yet?

I can validate that the “outlook for iOS” app works, but still only able to ‘recieve’ Mail on the built in mail app, not send (via an Exchange server)

Keep in mind that the Outlook App proxies your mail via MS servers. Your employer may not be happy with that.

Interesting that I still haven't experienced this problem.  I've even removed Outlook from iOS and specifically set up accounts in iOS Mail.  I'm able to send and receive just fine from the O365 Exchange Online account, no intermittent issues or anything.  Not on 11.0.1 but I'll chuck that on now.

You can always update using iTunes. Worked for me on both an iPhone and iPad that weren't seeing the update otherwise.

Apps in the app store slowly wont update and new apps might 'require' IOS11 (especially as Apple has now pulled support for 32bit - so no new developers have ANY reason to support it anymore)

I'll do it when it gets to that point.

The only things I use an iphone SE for are - phone, message, whatsapp, wifi hotspotting, long battery life, small form factor, bullet proof, GPS, time, date.

And from experience, every time an old device gets a fancy new OS it cripples it, due to mainly low ram (not the SE) and single core CPU (not the SE).

Turns out mine kept failing to update even via iTunes until I removed the ‘beta’ profile in The Settings ‘profile’ menu 🤷‍♂️

Email works properly again now I’m on 11.0.1 👍
