there's only 2 things that is a major difference apart from customization and accessing settings

1. you can't easily transfer files to / from your device

2. it shouldn't be like that but i have found that the Android apps are more usable, easier to do work between a few apps, etc. (not sure why, in theory it should both be as functional)

Having said that, both are very good. wife lives on ios, i live on android, we agree to disagree

lNomNoml: Personally I will never support Apple until they allow the right to repair as per the current case in the USA about Apple not allowing/severely blocking your right to repair the device you have paid for, it's an evil, landfill filling practice that's pushing the industry in the wrong direction especially in this environmental conscious age we are in, we all really need to move to a time where repairing is the first option than just buying another one. You only have to watch 1 or 2 Louis Rossmann videos on YouTube to see just how evil Apple are.

But yeah as the points above by all means Apple is more polished and their devices "just work" but when they don't you end up paying for it.

And personally I am pleased that Apple doesn't allow any Tom/Dick/Harry to open up my iPhone and swap out parts to get access to my data.

When I had to gt my battery replaced by apple after less than a year of use, which should have just been a simple switch out, I had to send it to one of their NZ repair agents. They wanted my passcode so they could access it to do diagnostic checks on it. I would have thought testing could be done without needing the passcode. So they could have gotten access to private info on it had I given that to them, and that would be a privacy issue for businesses using iphones. Alternatively they wanted to do a full reset on it, which I didn't want either, as I didn't want to then had to reset up my phone again. Thigns like battery replacements should be able to be done without using an agent, if you want original parts IMO. They should also be a lot cheaper, as from my understanding you can only get an orginal battery if apples agents or apple do the repair.

try it, see how you go if you don’t like it switch back but be warned once you invest in other Apple products like the watch, MacBooks and Apple TV etc and also start to rely on the proprietary apps and software it’s hard to leave again as the way it all ties in together can be a beautiful thing.

I took the same journey a few years ago now but I still dabble in the latest Android phones but I seem to always go back to Apple because I can’t leave, I’m trapped!

So back your phone up to iCloud/iTunes/Another iPhone before sending it, then wipe it. Thats what would happen in a business situation.

Long term android user. Tried iOS a couple of times, but didn't like the lack of flexibility and preferred the Google apps for functionality.

That said, in recently I've become less comfortable with Google's data harvesting which is increasing year on year. So when my phone comes up for replacement, I may move to Apple for the increased privacy.

Most apps don't need a back button, you just swipe from the left edge of the screen and it should take you to the previous page :)
