remove it and try test8

if I use the same format as the IPCC files I don't seem to be able to set different APN's.. just the same ones gets put in everywhere :-(

Apple have released valid IPCC files for V3 for a few carriers but putting the settings into a mobileconfig do't seem to work correctly . Unless someone from Vodafone has some proper documentation they can send me unofficially :-)

Test 8 seems to do the same as test 1. Can't see any differences....

I'm trying to get tethering going on my 3G iPhone. I've installed the 3.0 GM, along with the mobileconfig file above fine.

I can enable USB tethering, it shows up in Network Preferences in OSX, but says "Cable Unplugged". How do you actually start tethering? I haven't seen the blue 'Internet Tethering' bar.

general > network > internet tethering (on)

I had to go into net.prefpane and hit 'apply' on my Ethernet Adapter (en3) to make it work over USB, but works just as well over BT.

All I had to do was press apply -_- what a idjit!

Thanks shadou. now... if only BT tethering worked with my unibody mac.

One thing that is interesting - if you tether, and have wifi turned on and connected, it'll still go over 3g.

ps: posted from vf 3g =D

depends on the service order on your network preferences.

I've got a unibody macbook ('08) and BT tethering working beautifully.

Naw, I just can't pair at all over BT, tethering or not. (other stuff, ie, my keyboard works fine though, i've seen other forums mentioning this)

With respect to my comments, I meant wifi turned on on my phone.

Computer: no wifi, no lan, tethered
Phone: connected to wifi, and 3g

That scenario will use the iPhone's 3G connection, not Wifi.

Sorry everyone for being ignorant, but how to you actually send a MMS/PXT on the iPhone?

I've downloaded and applied v3.0 software, and make sure my Cellular Data Network settings is as per post 1 above, but what's next? How do I actually send a MMS/PXT?

Thanks.
