hmmmm, wouldn't it be better to just buy the cheaper one from Vodafone or Apple as suggested above?

I am pretty sure that there is no law that says dodgy parallel imported phones have to be cheaper, just look at parallel imported stores, they are often more expensive than authorised dealers etc.

Those prices are some scary stuff - and very unprofessional that the site doesn't even respond on the SSL port at all! Let alone with a valid cert!

Thats a shame if Paul has left, he was good to deal with, and they were my preferred parallel importer in NZ for some time...

Hi Guys!

I've read this thread with some interest. I did own Phones Direct and it is now owned by Kyn in Tauranga. I took the iphone off my site when I had it because that is what the price I could get them for on the world parallel market. The NZ Distributor which is Vodafone were not interested.

One person nailed it on the head actually, if you don't the price don't buy it, don't trash her business.

The site is US based because Volusion offer a very good service for online businesses.

I have looked at her site and she clearly has a GST number displayed, her address and NZ address.

I hope this answers the questions.

Hi Paul thanks for your comment.

Also, just a bit OP but your link in your sig links to Phones Direct, not to the actual other website.
