On my E71 the time stamp is correct so it seems to have fixed it's self, so I guess it is.

Still not working for me. All inbound texts are an hour ahead. I texted myself and it's an hour ahead also ha!

Someone else suggested adjusting the time GMT+13 so I've done that now and all texts are time stamping correctly.

Hi there

How do I change the GMT + 13? And if that changes, does that not affect the actual time showing on the phone?

Thanks
Allessandra

Grr sorry guys, well i texted myself and it stamps correctly, but incoming from others still shows an hour ahead.. im stumped!

I've changed it back to GMT+12 for NZ.

AlessandraBrowne, not sure where to change that on the iPhone, but check your time settings.

I get some texts from Aussie, some time stamp correctly and some dont, no idea how the time gets set. When i get multiple texts, part 1 time stamps an hour ahead, part 2 follows immediately after at the correct time.

Argh!

I'll try some other things.

Hi Guys,

I've resolved the issue as far as Windows Mobile phones go. Found this fix, which requires an edit in the registry and it definitely now works for me :-) :-)

1) Goto HKLM/SOFTWARE/OEM/PhoneSetting
2) Add DWORD Value 'TrustTimeZoneField'
3) Set value = 0

As far as the resolving the issue for the iPhone on XT, I will continue to have a nosey around to see if there is an equivalent solution. Basically the registry edit tells the incoming SMS/text to be set at the same time zone as the phone it arrives on.
