I dont have any of those issues you mention, I would highly recommend doing a fresh install of iOS 4.0.1. Setup as a new phone, dont worry, after it is completed you can still restore your apps and contacts etc after setting up as a new phone.

Hey guys great news! In regards to Facebook being slow, just uninstall it and reinstall it again. It's working flawlessly! No hang-ups or freezes!

I'm getting this message every now and then since moving to OS4.... nothings plugged in.....
A reinstall of FB fixed those issues on my phone as well.

Good to hear reinstalling FB fixed the issues outlined in the OP.

I haven't experienced that error message though. You may wanna upgrade to 4.0.1?
