It is not for iPad... just iPhone. It uses the ID of the phone as part of the order to ensure you are entitled to the case/bumper and also whether you have already submitted an order for that iPhone.

Just for laughs, I downloaded it and tried to place the app on my touch.
Error message - no supported.

Had a thought that maybe I could order my case now so I have it on hand for when the Phone arrives. Guess not.

Don't see why you would order a bumper. There will be 2$ rip offs all over the place in a few months.

Not a few months, already! I bought a case off ebay for 99c USD and it is pretty good. Pity I haven't got a phone to put in it, yet...

Same herr. try to order the case earlier, since has to wait for the phone to arrive. but Just query, is the app only work on Iphone 4, can it is done with 3Gs ???

Had look at ip4 cases today. One brand was $5 cheaper but it was as thin and flimsy as an Ansell latex glove. Might feel like not there but no protection and was too stretchy/elastic that it came away from the phone too often, too easily

I bought two off ebay for $2.84 shipped (for both) and they seem to be ok quality. Obviously not the quality of a bumper but enough to tide me over till I get a proper case. Although that logic seems flawed now seeing as I didn't manage to get an Iphone!

Although the shipping estimate says anything from three weeks to the first week of September, people in the States who ordered their free bumpers have been getting them much earlier. We've had numerous people e-mail us at TUAW to say that even though they were quoted three weeks for shipping, their bumpers arrived within about a week.

Wait, so can I install that app on my wife's 3GS and use it to order a case for my yet-to-be-shipped-from-Apple-online IP4?
Cause that would be well handy if I can get it about the same time as the phone arrives...

Question, I ordered my iPhone Yesterday (30th) but it is not due to arrive till 3 weeks,

The Apple site states you have to apply for one within 30days of purcashe what happens if I don't have my iPhone to apply for one from?.
