What shops have you looked at? The ones I've seen online tend to be in the 2-300$ price range and tend to be well reviewed.

DSE, HN, Noel Leeming, Norman Ross, Ascent (not look as is online).

There are plenty in that range but they are often 16:9 (sorry but photos are not movie's!!) 800x600 for a 10" and/or when you look at them the quality is just not that great.

Yea problem is, they're looking for very specifically a 10 inch screen. Hell for the price of an ipad you could get a 32inch LCD TV.

Wow, if I could spare the money, I would use an iPad as a digital photo frame too:P

Samsung 22" LCD TV 1366x768 with USB port - $599 retail.

scroll back a page and see my link for an AOC 22" with a built in media player and 5in1 card reader for a bit cheaper :)

I like the look of the wallee though. Hang it above the stove to make full use of Epicurious..

you would hang a $1000+ device *above* a stove whilst cooking?

You would not hang it above the stove, and typically you need it during preparation so closer to workbench.

My wife used to perch her macbook on the window sill and use MacGourmet so iPad has a much lower footprint than a notebook, and touch screen is better than keyboard in a kitchen
