Handsomedan: I really don;t think you'd find many (if any) iPhone users of the Tom Tom app that would say it wasn't good value for money...provided you actually use it!

Yes. Although if I were new to iPhone I would be weighing up the pros and cons of TomTom with the two new apps just released, Navigon and Sygic Aura.
I bought TomTom when it first released at $149 and can definitely say it was worth it. There are other options now so not so specifically cut and dry. I'd love to try Navigon actually, but missed the $39.95 intro price!
All 3 will turn your phone into a full featured GPS device, and with free map updates being the norm, you can't really go wrong for $85.
