However try buying contract free... and I don't think you'll have much luck unless the store needs to move the stock or the sales person hasn't been told.
steve98: an abuse of Vodafone's position as the only bricks-and-mortar retail outlets in NZ offering this phone. It is anti-competitive and shouldn't be allowed IMO.
Noel Leeming never did give their official word on selling off-contract, but from what I understand Noel Leeming sell the phone as Vodafone dealer and are therefore bound by the same rules - i.e. 24-month term only.
