mule: All sorted for me.? Tried via online chat (vodafone website), but the person had no idea despite forwarding him the link to the forum.

Rang 777 and CSR got it sorted for me.

Thanks again John for all your help here and on the vodafone forum.? You always seem to get stick and abuse from a view individuals, but luckily for some of us you keep coming back!!

Your doing a great job, keep it up!!

Mat

Thanks for the Feedback

John

Managed to get this changed in the end but it was a real mission!  The 1.5 support team (I think that's what they were called) managed to sort it for me in the end.  Laughing

nathan: this works on Windows Phone 7 handsets too...

With the exception of some very early GSM handsets (we're talking early 90's here) virtually every device out there supports it.

Many operators choose not to use the feature because it doesn't offer the ability for end users to see how many messages they have waiting or the message type (for example Vodafone who have voicemail and faxmail on the same platform). I've had it enabled on my phone for a number of years now and love it, however there are plenty of people who prefer the regular SMS messages.
