I installed Java on (in) an old Windows mobile phone a few years back by (accidentally) dropping it in a cup of coffee. An uninstall by running it under the cold tap and leaving it in a warm dry place for a couple of days pretty much did the trick, although one of the buttons was a bit dodgy after that. On the plus side, it did have an attactive smell for a while after...

+1 Isopropyl Alcohol wont hurt the unit. I think Chemists will sell it but you might need ID as there is some issue (P Lab related I think)
Iso isn't a problem to get hold of, I'm a printer so cam get by the drum load. Just something I never thought of.
