I suppose the Android upgrades are more interesting. iOS ones just bring new features, Android ones allow old features and apps to work on your phone!

Yeah I know.

And even then its just a borng one button update and its done. But with Android you can spend the whole evening trying to get it to work, so thats a good way to spend a winter evening.

Ha, nice one, you should really troll in that thread tho... like your beta, that wasn't an official telecom update - hence the problem.
of course, your iDevice beta is perfect

oh wait....

Notification server buggy and can hang

iMessage unreliable and hangs frequently

Sound server buggy (IM+ sounds for incoming messages for example)

Some apps crash randomly (Facebook apps seem to be the worst)

Document partition does not mount anymore, can only transfer videos via itunes atm

Notification tray on iPad has no clock

Twitter integration doesnt seem to work at the moment

yep, std beta practice!

I think we are just getting payback seeing as iDevice users dont beat up on Android users!

Android has got the framework to allow features to be added, iOS does too but it seems more of a hack to me (no offence guys) - For example, they hired a guy to do the notifications only to end up the exact same as Android with the exception if Widgets.

In a way, Android can have Widgets set as it's notifications too, but what's the point seeing that the homescreen allows those to be added.

That's the thing, it's more of a hack, Apple wanted to allow widgets so they built it into the notification dropdown, but didn't want to full-on "copy" Android with it's whole homescreen style. Eventually they will realise that's the only way to really do it and from there, go ahead with it saying it's a "Magical new feature, everything is magical" etc.

I am not trying to be a Troll, iOS is great with some things, but just the way they do it bugs me. All operating systems perform their functions well - I have a Windows Phone and Android, I can find flaws with both, but any iOS owner knows they can also point out flaws with their phone. Nobody will ever be happy, no operating system maker can claim their OS to be perfect - there are always bugs to iron out, testing to the public that needs to be done and also changes that have to be made etc.

iOS 5 is a step in the right direction, it fixes those annoying popups while you are trying to order Domino's Pizza but with the features that are being added, I am wondering what it the lifespan of the iPhone 3GS / 4 going to be once the iDevices is going to be released? It's just never-ending.

Since this is a iOS "Beta" thread I am going to say, we should stop talking about other operating systems and actually get back on topic.

Hello Fandroids. What are you doing over here in Appletown stirring things up? Just remember that us Apple fanatics can have just as much *fun* when we jailbreak! Then upgrading to the latest OS is no longer a one click. I'm not missing too many features on my old 3GS...
