It's so good having a big screen again.

I went from the iPhone 6S Plus -> X -> XS Max

nitebeatdisco: Sim eject is included, it’s the lightning to headphone adapter that isn’t included.
1st impressions love the dislay and how responsive it all feels and having upgraded from an iPhone X I can say that Face ID works a lot smoother and is definitely a step closer to the “no password “ experience that apple intended.

I would have preferred an underscreen touch id, in order to also get rid of the notch. Or maybe both, so you can unlock without actually looking at the screen. I don't think Steve Jobs would have allowed either the notch or camera bump as both are very unapple like in terms of design compromises, similar to that case that had the hump.  If they had made the XR without faceID and notch, but with an underscreen touch ID sensor, that would have been a killer phone except for the lack of a headphone jack. Except it would look better the the XS which is the upsell.

Got my XS-Max at around 10am today. It's all setup and working nicely. Pretty in love with the screen, it's really nice. I missed the size of my 7 Plus so being able to have a large form factor again is awesome. Gonna watch some Netflix on it tonight to test out the display a bit more!

I preordered my 44mm watch with Noel Leeming with a promise that they would have them today (21/09/18) just phoned and none of the stores have received Apple Watch delivery today at all.  I ordered with Apple but my delivery was 16/10/18 so though that NL may get them earlier.  Not entirely happy but will see what the rest of the day brings.

They told me that the model I was after (44mm Gold Sport Loop) would have 21 watches in and only three preorders for it.

Strange?? I contacted NL online found there was one 44 grey at Palmy (im at Wanga) orderded it online for pickup wanga the person on the chat checked and order processed and transfer in place for Palmy to wanga ...or so they say Like you will wait and see if I get a confirmation form wanga

They had two gold ones left in stock when i spoke to them at 12

I think we should all take a breath and applaud Apple marketing department, and their ability to conduct us into this frenetic "must have now!" fervor of buyers.

To be honest I can’t notice any speed difference (navigation between screens) from the XS Max and my 7 Plus, both are snappy and buttery smooth. I’ll put that down to iOS 12 optimisation being on point!

I had a play at NL with a Watch 4...if only they had SS ones in NZ...didn't like the look/feel of the Aluminium...especially at $750.00

After the courier finally showing at up and getting all set up, I absolutely love the Xs Max. The screen is massive but easy to use and drop dead gorgeous to look at. Face ID works smoothly and overall its a stunning device. No buyers remorse here.

Now I just need that case to show up before I drop it...

Just picked up my watch, the pre order didn't work but Hamilton Noel Leeming had one put aside for me. They pre ordered the wrong one so ended up with the pink sport band instead of the sport loop. Never mind, loving the 44mm, the screen is insane.

Anyone else order a Xs through Vodafone? I did so at 7:47pm last Friday with the expectation that it would arrive today, but they only shipped it from Auckland today at 1pm which obviously wasn’t going to make it to Wellington. Pretty frustrated I won’t get my new toy until next week now. Wonder if I can return it somehow and just pick one up from Noel Leeming tomorrow?

Has anyone else who ordered through apple had the amount for the phone drop off their credit card statement? I received the phone yesterday but it appears as though I’ve been refunded. Trying to decide if I need to contact them or not.

I finally caved in and picked up an Xs from PBTech. I'm gonna keep it in the box and see if I get buyer's remorse a few days later. But for now:

Apple - 1
Me - 0
