khull: whatever Apple announces there will be people queuing up to buy them. Specs don't matter to these folk :)

Partly correct, as we have a real ecosystem that works with all devices, together,  out of the box. Thats one benefit of a closed ecosystem where one manufacturer manages everything. You can consider the specs of the 5 to be catchup, if you feel that Apple is competing against other manufacturers, but it isn't actually.

i actually hope its a good device. but then everyones going to have their own opinion on whats better samsung or apple.

It will be a good device, as always, quality build is always there. Specs will be as expected, nothing new.

Samsung and Apple both make good devices. They will be similar specs, but your choice is what OS you prefer. And both of them, the green man and the white fruit are very good. Very similar, with a few key differences.

Considering its not mentioned on the actual SIM page,  and the rumours around the new iphone having this sim, its sensible to say new iphone will have this and standard will probably shift to this. But, no other device has this sim yet, so they have no other reason to be stocking it.

well since 2degrees already put up a webpage stating that the iphone5 would use the nanosim and that 2Degrees would sell it for that express purpose I'm not sure what else needs confirming.

Yep, but I am still surprised that there was no NDA, as while they may not sell iPhones (I assume), the nanoSIM is for the 5. (I assume... :-) ) But all interesting diversions.

Been watching the liveblog on engadget and the new phone looks pretty nice. I'll definitely be getting one.

Pretty much as expected, odd that rumours were right. Although everything seems to have had an update.
28 Sept? I missed that

Didn't NZ get the original 3G a day before the US?
