They don't getcharged the tax we do over here though do they? About half the money you pay for petrol is tax, which also pays for the roads etc, which means we don't have too many toll roads.


I never struck a Turnpike (toll road) once when I was in the US in the mid 90s..

Manufacturers can and do use pricing as a marketing tool to position their product in the market and to add add to their brand value.
'Fairness' and the exchange rate don't count for much when the market is more than willing to support the price being asked.

And OP - your CGA reference is specifically in relation to services, not goods.

Must FYI the bill of materials is $167 this is the component cost to make the phone excluding advertising, wages, shipping etc
