UPDATE ON CHRISTCHURCH!!

Walked in the store and browsed for awhile, talked to one of the sales team and asked the specific questions

Me: Hi I was wondering if I'm allowed to ask anything regarding the iphone

Sales: Er... depends what you want to know

Me: If I choose to pay upright and go on the cheapest you chooe 20 plan (20 bucks a month) could I just do that and have no data plan because I wish to just use wireless wifi from home to browse.

Sales: You,... cooould!? however iphones have automatic update on them which you cannot turn off and it will automatically charge you per mb of use even if your not on a data plan (bullsh**)

Me: Oh right,.. well anyways will it be sold out? is there any way I can pre order it?

Sales: Sorry we dont do pre orders, you can come at midnight tommorow and "hopefully" there will be enough, maybe you should line up outside? (she says this in a absolutely serious way)

Me: (I look out side and there are ZERO PEOPLE a big fat 0 and just one security guard that never use to be there standing around.) Er.. yeah, no thanks I'm not staying out in this weather,... (quite frankly nobody will,.. its kiwi land haha)

CHCH on wednesday 7:30 pm ----- CURRENTLY ZERO IN LINE cept the security guard.

Uh! AUT! Worse! Physiotherepy! I wonder if he's buying outright or signing up to one of the ridiculous plans that he probably can't really afford properly. Not a good look to students complaining of high course fees exactly is it?!
(Oh wait - he's using his student loan to fund the plan isn't he?!)

Student loan is only available for course fee, unless you're not receiving student allowance, in that case you can borrow living cost.
I don't think $1000 allowance for course related fee wouldn't fit for buying iphone unless he's majoring IT and very good writing skill.

Anyway, any more than 4 people on Auckland still?

iphone is like a computer, and they are covered by course related costs. Doesnt matter since most people just put transport on the form at the start of the year.

Guess Wellingtonians have more sense than jafas, nobody waiting for the iPhone outside the Lambton Quay store as of 8.30pm. Just the lone relativly friendly security guard with a good book was camped out. I asked if anyone had qued and the response was "I can't comment, I've been told it's confidential."

nobody in line at wellington as of 12:40.

about 12 people milling around in the shop but no signs of a line.
