I do love that Spark has the $700 offer, looks like One NZ increased theirs to $700 to match it at approximately 12:40am (it was $600 when pre-orders first opened and until at least 12:30am).

We are going to order ours while we are in the US and all the fuss has died own (iPhones can be parallel imported without frequency or VoLTE issues)
They can, just be wary if you want a physical SIM card. US iPhones are eSim only.

@dfnt welcome to the darkside, your due for an upgrade anyways - make sure to pre-order only when i have done it.😉
Decided against it as the colours don’t do it for me, so I slept soundly instead
I’ll wait to see the deep blue in person before deciding

Thanks for the heads up!
Already had a qualifying plan and missus just picked up a spark pre-order for a lavender 17 for $999.
Great to see they had an option to pay outright as well :)
She had intially decided to hold onto her 11 Pro, but a 41% discount was too good!
Happy pre-order day!
While this may not be a popular opinion, I’m hoping for an eSIM-only iPhone next year. The battery life is noticeably better than the eSIM + SIM version.

turtleattacks: Just remember most telcos will give you something like $600 off if you go on their $65 per month plans for 12 months.
Well, 2degrees just lost a pretty long-term customer there...
Them still not providing Apple Watch eSim along with this rubbish has meant I'm off to Spark this round plus Spark are doing a trade-in boost saving even more money on my plan.
2degrees are incredibly noncompetitive this round...
Also changed this thread to be the general ordering thread seeing we're discussing other options :)
@michaelmurfy Hi Michael, I'm looking at ordering the Pro Max. I have been going through the Spark site and can't find the trade-in boost mentioned anywhere? I even went into the trade-in estimate and it didn't return any outsized trade-in value for a 15 Pro Max that I have currently. I'm a One customer currently and was wondering if this is some existing Spark customer deal?
murf is a bad influence, he mentioned that Spark deal with $700 off on their 36 month interest free plan
Too good not to pass up, the bonus of ordering so late in the day is I have zero expectations of getting anything till October :)

You get the $700 for putting it on interest free payments plus a trade in boost of $100 from memory meaning $950 back for trading in an iPhone 15 Pro Max 256gb in perfect condition. Yes, you can likely get more if you sold it on the 2nd hand market but on release the market is flooded here and I find it easier to just trade it in.

Thanks Michael, I appreciate you taking the time to explain to in detail. Sometimes I'm a bit slow and get the wrong end of the stick. Spark sounds like a very good deal and I will do more research.

Anyone know how the trade in works if they mark down the value of your phone if it has a few screen scratches?
If it’s say $700 off, plus $100 trade boost, plus $850 trade in value. This means $1650 for a perfectly conditioned iPhone 15 PM. I wonder if one can get more than this on trade me.

Would have been great if they did a more affordable monthly plan that the $80/month!
For people on prepay/Kogan yearly etc who may be thinking of switching to monthly - was wondering if there is a slightly less expensive plan to utilise the $700 pre order deal!

Well, the discount applies on the $65/mo Spark plan which yeah, is up there...

Spark’s discount is on the $65 plan and above. Thing is, they’re losing money on a $700 discount, so they want people to be tied to the higher tiered plans so they can recover more revenue - they aren’t a charity at the end of the day.
Fair enough
Do you guys upgrade fairly regularly on these plans?
I'm trying to justify the increase in monthly cost as really would love to get my hands on one of these!
Do these automatically include the insurance for the phone?
