I've been having this problem...just changed all mine to +64 prefix, will see how it goes. I've got a 3GS.

After just a bit of testing I still have problems with an 027 number coming in as an Incoming call as "027 xxx xxxx" and so it is not picked up as the +6427 number listed in the contacts!

Agrhgh...this is annoying. A stupid little issue. Do I have to put in double entries for these offending numbers?

I am watching this thread with interest. I have the same issue - 027 numbers not being recognised in the addressbook.

I went through and added the +64 27 ... .... prefix to all the Telecom numbers in my address book and I thought this solved the problem.

Alas, I just got a call from an 027 caller in my phonebook but again the number was unrecognised - it appeared on my screen as 027 xxx xxxx, whereas I have them in my phonebook as +64 27 xxx xxxx.

My contacts are being syncronised with my Google Contacts, if that ahas any relevance to the discussion: http://www.google.com/mobile/products/sync.html#p=apple

I sync mine with Google Contacts as well, and it works fine here.

Yes there is a thread over in the VF forums.
VFNZ have lodged a job with Apple.
It is likely it will be fixed in an upcoming firmware update.
So "in the next few months" this should be resolved.
