err the 32GB 3G lists on Apple's website at US $729

But the Apple Store sends me back to NZ..Grrr!

Oh well I think I know the answer - buy from USA if you want to save money and can stand the run around trying to beat Apples "block" or buy from NZ for a smooth deal but pay through the nose for the privelege.

Now I know why I have an Android phone and I'll get an Android tablet. Trouble is my wife would be happier with an iPad

Thanks for all the input anyway. I'll close this debate now and leave you to discuss the merits of Twinkies and Jolt Cola...maybe I should try them as they seem popularLaughing

The point I was trying to make was that the retailer in NY had quoted you a price above the RRP in the US, and that it might have been cheaper for your contact in Boston to buy it online from Apple rather than from this store in NY ( Given that the basis of this entire thread was trying to save money)
