16GB WiFi = $729
32GB WiFi = $879
64GB WiFi = $1029

Can you access Internet via Vodafone on those iPads with just wifi?

not over Vodafone's cellular network (3G). You have to be connected to a WiFi network (like at home, or McDonalds etc.)

"Charging via power adapter or USB to computer system"
Is it possible for me to plug in my Vodem stick in that USB port and connect to the 3G network that way (if the Vodem application actually runs on iPads)?

No, it isn't a USB port for a start. And the software won't run. I'm not sure if the dock connector provides a USB host connection but all the other "no"s mean no :-)

Your best bet is to get a Pocketwifi from vodafone, then a WIFI only ipad will be able to access 3G through connecting to the pocketwifi

Less than a week out and still no pricing!? It looks like there are some problems with the new screen, its a good thing i can't get it on launch!

Third-gen iPad's Retina Display has reported issues

Doesn't seem like a legit/serious newstory tbh, unless the same thing has been reported elsewhere too?

OK, so the Apple Stores are down for updating again this evening.  Perhaps this time we will see the NZ pricing announced and pre-orders begin?

Mind you, after the appalling packaging from TNT Australia for my Apple NZ Store purchased Apple TV (received yesterday), I'm now reluctant to buy an iPad from the Apple Store!

The Apple TV was floating around in a larger shipping box with no padding (just a single loose air pack at one end), so the Apple TV packaging had bashed corners.  Luckily the Apple TV itself survived.

I would contact apple about that, as that is very poor. The packaging is part of the product experience with apple, so it needs to be in good condition too. You don't know if there hasn't been any damage to it.

Yes, I do appreciate the Apple quality packaging!  No doubt it is what saved the Apple TV.  But I was pretty disappointed.  Having the pristine original Apple packaging also helps resale further down the track.

I went looking for an Apple support email address to send them a photo, but could only find a phone number?

The fact that they have to take the store down to "update" it is tedious

All I want to check is what the estimated shipping time is on a Mac Mini, ffs :|

I could be in the order section of your online shopping account. I am sure they will sort it out, as they would also want to know if there are problems like that.

do you guys think the price will be the same or decrease? Although the Aussie price has gone down, but comparing other Apple Products with NZ price, it seems like they are not the same. E.g. Macbook's cost 2-300 extra in NZ.

If the Apple TV (3rd gen) is anything to go by I'd expect small decreases in pricing.

Could you folks use this discussion about iPad release in New Zealand instead? People won't know to discuss about it on a thread about "NZ Apple Store down".
