Ouch.

Both of my iPhone X are fine out of the box. Although App store crashes alot on one of them, but that's probably because it's downloading 20 apps at the same time.

And the original “flickergate “ https://www.google.co.nz/amp/s/amp.tomsguide.com/us/iphone-6-gray-bar-flicker,news-23287.html

Perhaps it’s just a 1/1,000,000 faulty phone?

Not too many out in the wild yet to know, but yeah guess it's likely just a random one off (sigh). Took a video you can see here:

I got an iPhone 8 Plus today (looked at the X - didn't like it). So far quite enjoying it. Was frustrating as hell moving as I've always been on Android.

Moving from Android why? Just for a change?

I did that a couple of years ago to try and stop me buying phones every couple of months.  Lasted about 3 months before moving back.  The having to wait for mail to download was driving me nuts.

I moved to an iPhone 6 from Android earlier in the year. I initially intended to give it a month to see how I coped. I reverted back to Android after 4 days. I'd like to try again, but iPhone 8 is too old and bezel hungry in design and the iPhone X is priced way too expensive to consider.

I tell people that when they make the move they need to give it a good 2 weeks going from iOS to android.

I thought you were joking about getting one. The X is definitely a beauty is in the eye of the beholder type phone I think, it's not even remotely nice to look at.

Welcome to iOS :)

A few apps I use daily are absolute rubbish on Android (Good for Enterprise being one of those apps). I felt like I was fighting with my phone, it kept dropping off WiFi which caused notifications to not come through etc. Don't get me wrong the OnePlus 5 is a great phone but I've given it to one of my friends to force me to use iOS for a bit so I don't give up. With the WPS exploit my OnePlus was still not patched - I also like how quickly iOS devices get patched. As a whole it seems like a much more secure platform these days.

I do that about once a week when I want to play a game that is Windows only (dual boot) :)

Funny fact - many people did. I had one of my colleagues come with me to the Vodafone store since he didn't believe I was going to switch to iOS.
