Finally diving into the iPhone world after a galaxy s and s3, if I can hack it I might even go mac!

I will definitely be getting the 64GB which ever version I get.

Hardly a surprise that the event is set for 9th Sept.

Am I the only one that is really excited about the new Iphone? I have never purchased a new one close to launch, in fact I got my Iphone4 weeks before the 4S was released, and my Iphone5 a couple of months before the 5S.

This time around I have held off upgrading, I signed up to a contract with Vodafone and kept the rebate aside for this launch, this will mean the I can upgrade when the 6S (or what ever) is released for bugger all.

Earlier in this thread I suggested I want to 5.5inch but if this is not launched at the same time as the 4.7 I might have to get the 4.7 and see if I upgrade at a later time to the 5.5.

I was thinking get the 4.7 and sell it when the 5.5 is released, traditionally Iphones tend to not drop too much value so if I loose $200 on it then I would be happy with that.

What new rumoured feature does every one want the most? Obviously the bigger screen is a given!

I am looking forward to Sapphire glass. I hate that me great looking phone needs a cover on it to stop it getting scratched in my pocket.

I reckon 4.7 inch is the sweetspot in terms of screen sizes (I am hoping they actually increase the resolution to 1080p). Besides those things, I am hoping for killer battery life and a killer camera. Those would be my top 2 wanted features. They would never give users SD cards so not even holding out for that.

I been into android for the past few years and am looking to make the jump over to the apple camp with this one.

Well, it is all announced - I'm going for the iPhone 6 Plus with 128GB; the big question is what the specifications are in terms of the LTE bands supported along with looking at when it'll appear in New Zealand given that we aren't in the first group of countries that'll be receiving it first. If it is anything like the iPhone 5S then I'd say that we won't be receiving it until the end of October at the earliest but that is ok because by the time it does come to NZ I'd say that iOS 8.0.1 will be released and most of the bugs beaten out of it.

Might have to go to Aussie to visit my little brother!

I am pleased that the 64GB is the middle of the range, as this is what I want.

I have found this to be the perfect size for all my apps, music and room for photos/ videos.

Good news everyone, according to: http://www.apple.com/iphone-6/specs/

FDD-LTE (Bands 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 13, 17, 18, 19, 20, 25, 26, 28, 29)

LTE APT 700Mhz is supported - the big question, do I remain with Spark or do I go with Vodafone? I just hope that if there are any plan refreshes in the future we'll see an increase in data caps.

Voice over LTE (VoLTE) is also supported - will be interesting to see what happens when VoLTE is eventually launched in NZ.

Nothing has been announced yet but ordering starts on 12 September and they'll be shipping out on 19 September - if anything like the iPhone 5S we'll be in the second wave one month after. I'll grab mine straight from Apple and take advantage of the GEM Visa 12 months interest free deal.

Doesn't say anything about when it'll ship though or whether it is the pre-ordering like what is happening on the 12th with shipments starting on 19th.
