Historically it has always been better to wait for version X.0.1 of any iOS, iPadOS, or macOS releases.   Just the same as any new OS or software.

Unless you wish to be on the bleeding edge of new software and suffer from potential bugs!

For me, I will likely update my work iPhone as soon as, and then see what happens before upgrading my personal iPhone 😈

Quite correct.

I always install the latest and greatest. I have only ever had one dud and that was the first edition macOS Sierra or High Sierra, I've forgotten. I also beta test for a series of catalogue app's.

"Here's to the crazy ones, the misfits, the rebels, the troublemakers, the round pegs in the square holes ... the ones who see things differently -- they're not fond of rules, and they have no respect for the status quo. ... You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them, but the only thing you can't do is ignore them because they change things. ... They push the human race forward, and while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius, because the people who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world, are the ones who do."

Whilst the difficult we can do immediately, the impossible takes a bit longer. However, miracles you will have to wait for.

I must admit I participated in the public beta for iPadOS 13 without too much going wrong and probably would have dipped my toe in again for 14, but my iPad Air2 has been left behind. C’est la Vie.

Installed the dev beta today on my "spare" iPhone. So far so good. Everything worked as expected, and I really cannot stress enough how much I love the unobtrusive incoming call notification.

Okay. Must have misread. May give the public beta a go.

I am amazed it is getting it. It is the slowest device they support according to geekbench and came out in 2014. But maybe it is because ios13 was quite buggy and they want ios14 to fix this.

This preview is quite interesting. Some of the new stuff that comes in iOS 14 probably won't interest me but other parts will be great:

Screen rotate isn’t working for me. Anyone else seeing that?

Mines about 50/50 with the youtube app over the last few days and I’m still on ios13.5.1!

Is your issue all over, or just in specific app(s)?

Flawless in everything except the YouTube app for me. Although, maybe a silly question but have you double checked you don't have orientation lock on? More than once I've gotten frustrated with rotation not working only to discover I'd switched that on and left it on (usually when horizontal on the couch etc).
