ALTRON: Id consider Japan.

Do you have a link to those JPN prices/info?

I'd love to know this too.

Almost thinking the cut-price 3gs is going to be the better option going by the number of problems the 4 is having.

other than the form factor and higher res screen its more or less the same experience. But man do i want that screen.... Face time and both cameras can both sod off.

Is the general expectation that the on-account pricing Vodafone have now for 8Gb 3GS is what it will be ongoing?

General thinking is Yes. But with enhancements to the plans.

well the apple nz site has been updated today- the 3gs 16gb and 32gb models have been removed, and the iphone 4 ones are now listed as 'coming soon"....:

oh yeah and my take on pricing (and this is probably just wishful thinking) is that apple will match the recent 3gs pricing so iphone 4 16gb will be $999 and 32gb will be $1099.

My reasoning is based on the comparative prices of UK iphones and ipads when compared to Australian prices, which gives an AU price for the 32gb at close to $899au which equates to $1099nz.

wouldn't that be nice eh?

$1099 for the one with the bigger GB's and i'd buy one outright on launch day. Gotta do something with all that disposable income i guess.

I can't honestly see you getting any change from $1300 for a 32gb iPhone 4.

We should all aim low to avoid disappointment.

Trying to save money on apple products is like having your iphone and eating it to. doesnt happen.

I'm aiming really low - I expect that it will be $800 with the iPhone 40 plan, and that I'll have to queue somewhere freezing with my kid size sleeping bag, possibly being mocked on Queen Street to get my hands on one.

Anything above that is a bonus.  Especially pricing and the ability to pre-order.  Hint hint Paul xD
