Man I just hope I get my new phone before Apple release the fix in the next update. Hopefully it ships with 4.0.1 still. Who knows when the next JB we be released and I need MyWi and ScreenDimmer.

What are they up to now, beta 3? Two weeks untill shipping, should be right.

Picked up screen dimmer. Combined with Flicktunes, it makes the iphone so much better for the car.

Also need to give a plug for bitesms. It basically replaces the default sms app and gives so much more functionality. Quick reply/compose (can reply without exiting app). Status bar icon of unread messages. Tap it for a quick list of messages. Password lock the app. +so many other little features that make it so much easier to txt. Well worth the $10AUD.

Thinking about MyWi and My3G but not sure about it with the meagre data cap I have with VF.

Too late, Apple has patched it with 4.0.2. Id imagine any new phones from the factory will ship with the exploit fixed.

Is it not possible to downgrade to the previous firmware and then jailbreak? If not, bad luck. The dev team will most likely to wait til 4.1 to release the next jailbreak.

it is possible if you have your SHSH blobs for 4.0.1 backed up. otherwise there is no way to go back to this version. even if you are on 4.0.1, you have UP to restore to 4.0.2, unless you have a signed blob
